The city’s ceremony

The city’s 2026 Memorial Day Ceremony was at 9 a.m. Monday, May 25, at Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center, 202 Fieldhouse Drive, according to the city’s 2026 Recreation and Special Events calendar. The 2027 date, time and place are not out yet. The city also holds a Veterans Day Ceremony (Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, 9:30 a.m., at Kedron Fieldhouse) and marked National Purple Heart Day at Kedron on Aug. 7, 2026.

Races that weekend

The All American 5K and 10K, the annual race of American Legion Post 50, sponsored by the Peachtree City Running Club, was Sat. May 16, 2026, according to the city’s events calendar. 2027 details are not out yet.

Airbase Georgia

Airbase Georgia, the Commemorative Air Force unit at 1200 Echo Court in Peachtree City, flies World War II aircraft, including an SBD-5 Dauntless and the P-51 Mustang “Red Nose.” It is open to the public Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the first Sunday of each month, 1 to 5 p.m., according to Airbase Georgia’s website. Memorial Day falls on a Monday, so check its museum page for any holiday opening.

What’s open and closed

  • M.T. Allen Memorial Library: it closed for Memorial Day in 2026, according to its events calendar.
  • Glenloch Pool and Splash Pad, 601 Stephens Entry: the pool season runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. In 2026 the free splash pad stayed open on Memorial Day and closed for maintenance the Tuesday after instead. 2027 hours will be posted in the spring on the Glenloch page.
  • Kedron Aquatic Center: holiday hours are posted on the city’s holiday facility closings page.
  • Parks, nature areas and multi-use paths: open dawn to dusk.
