Peachtree City’s public schools are part of Fayette County Public Schools, and the district’s 2027 spring break is Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, according to its 2026-27 calendar. Private schools set their own dates.

Swimming

Kedron Aquatic Center, 202 Fieldhouse Drive, is the city’s year-round pool, with a 25-yard competition pool and a heated instructional pool, according to the city’s Kedron page. Open swim is $5 a visit for residents 3 and older and $10 for nonresidents; residents 2 and under swim free. Ten-visit punch cards and monthly passes are sold at Kedron. Swim lessons, swim meets and holidays change the open swim times, so check the open swim page before you go.

The city has said the inflatable “bubble” over the Kedron pools is not going up this winter and the pools stay open outdoors. It is planning a permanent, all-weather building; updates are on its Kedron renovations page.

Glenloch Pool and Splash Pad, 601 Stephens Entry, are seasonal. The city says both will reopen in spring 2027 and will post 2027 hours then; the splash pad is free. Details are on the Glenloch page.

Outdoors

  • Line Creek Nature Area, Line Creek Drive off Highway 54: a 70-acre preserve with almost three miles of trails, granite outcrops, a fishing dock and a gazebo. Dogs on a leash.
  • Flat Creek Nature Area, starting at the McIntosh Trail Recreation Complex, 201 McIntosh Trail: a boardwalk trail through wetlands, sunrise to sunset.
  • William B. Davis BMX Track, McIntosh Trail: open dawn to dusk outside scheduled races for riders with proper safety gear.
  • Village Green Disc Golf Course, 204 Willowbend Road: nine holes across from the library, which lends golf discs free to PINES card holders for the day.

Camps and programs

The city’s Recreation and Special Events Department publishes a seasonal activities catalog and takes registration on its online registration site. The current catalog covers September to November 2026; spring break camps, if offered, will be in the spring edition. The library runs drop-in programs most weeks, from LEGO building to preschool story time; see its events calendar.
