Election Day
On Nov. 3 you must vote at the polling place for your own precinct, open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Anyone in line by 7 p.m. may vote. Find your polling place on the state’s My Voter Page or by calling the elections office at 770-305-5408.
What ID to bring
The county accepts any one of these photo IDs:
- A Georgia driver’s license, even if expired

No ID? The county registrar issues a free Georgia Voter Identification Card. The precinct card mailed after you register is not ID.
Voting by mail
- Apply online at the state’s absentee ballot request site, or by mail. A pen-to-paper signature is required; digital signatures are not accepted.
- You need a separate application for each election, except voters who are 65 or older, disabled, military or overseas, who can opt in to receive ballots for the whole cycle.
- The application must arrive at least 11 days before Election Day: Friday, Oct. 23.
- Return your ballot by mail or in the drop box at the elections office, 175 Johnson Ave.
Registering
The deadline for Nov. 3 has passed, but you can register now for later elections, including a Dec. 1 runoff for federal races, whose registration deadline is Monday, Nov. 2, according to the Fulton County calendar. Georgia does not register voters by party.
