Where it is

The city’s 2022 Comprehensive Plan says annexation in 2001 and 2007 added “the area now known as Wilksmoor Village,” that it is mostly residential, and that it was expected to be complete in 2023. The plan’s map places the Wilksmoor Village Center here.

On the city’s village map, Wilksmoor runs along the west edge of the city, west of Ga. 74. Its main roads in OpenStreetMap are Ga. 54 (Floy Farr Parkway), Ga. 74 (Joel Cowan Parkway), MacDuff Parkway and Senoia Road. The city’s village map also places the Highway 54 West shopping district here, including Walmart, ALDI and The Avenue on City Circle.

The plan’s historic resources appendix notes that Alexander Ware built a store and mill on Line Creek by 1824, half a mile below today’s Ga. 54; the abutments of that mill dam and an 1820 dam still stand in the Line Creek Nature Area.

Every residential address here in the county’s data is in ZIP code 30269 or has no ZIP code recorded, and all are inside city limits, so the city provides police, fire and EMS. Trash pickup is through a city-approved private hauler; see our trash and recycling guide.
